The Silent Horn

Blowing into it makes no noise.  But every person told its magic phrase will hear it sound, deep and clear.  Its signal has been used to win battles and in the assassination of seven sultans.

  1. Where do you get these images from? I love the look of it.

  2. @Paul: Thanks

    @Frankie: Mostly it's just patient poking around and luck, but I've done two posts with some specific steps on how I hunt for images:

  3. Good stuff. The ultimate effect is the same as... maybe a very limited form of whispering wind to an unlimited number of targets, but given a kind of physicality in the horn.

    To be a little less technical about it, it also has a good cause-and-effect relationship. It doesn't feel arbitrary, and I like that. =)

  7. @shieldhaven: and any joe can pick it up and blow, not just a magic-user.

    @Red: well only six were simultaneous ;)

    @Jim: Thanks & my pleasure

    @John: you're talking about the Goon Show episode? Had never heard of that before.

  8. Too clever. I was driving around in the small hours and thinking about how clever this magic item is. Well done x10!
